How do I scan a card?
- Start by clicking the "Scan Card" Button.
- Put your card backside up. This way your scan gets the most information.
- Place the camera over the card. A blue box should form around the card. If it does take the picture by clicking the circle in middle of the bottom.
- If it does not form, take the picture and you can drag the corners of the box around the card.
- If it does not form, take the picture and you can drag the corners of the box around the card.
- If you are happy with the scan, hit "Keep Scan". Otherwise, repeat the last step.
- Click "Save.
- You should be taken to a screen that then displays the search text and will display results.
- If the text is not correct, you can edit it and search again.
Why are search results not appearing?
- Your internet may not be connected or unstable
- The search may have been too specific and yielded no results
- The market place API's in place have a daily limit of 5,000 calls. If that limit is exceeded, then the calls will not go through. If CardScanApp does approach this number of calls, I can apply to get an increase up to 2 million.
Why does wrong information get put in when I add a card?
When adding a card by scan or search, CardScanApp tries the best to fill in each input. This is an application of fuzzy logic and it is not always perfect. CardScanApp puts the most probable answer into each input. A common example of this is if the title of the card listing contains the phrase "Pack of 32", then 32 might be put in for the number even though it is wrong.
